On a serious note: Jenny W sent me this article about a horrifying story about how rape cases are handled at UVA. It's truly irresponsible, unbelievable and not to be stood for. Start writing letters, because this is just not right.

I could not believe my eyes while reading that UVA rape article. Our whole system for indicting sexual predators is way off. In most rape cases, it is difficult for a court to ascertain who is lying especially when a stupid asshole can use the excuse that his victim was drinking. A lot is at stake during the trial, I can understand that, but once proven guilty for a crime, there is no reason why it should be kept secret. Women need to protect themselves from him in the future, and too bad if it taints his reputation and future. He has tainted his vitim's emotions and body for the rest of her life, why shouldn't he suffer too?
