What Do You Think?
I need to gather some opinions. The topic: roller shoes. Those things kids slide around on in airports, malls, etc. What do you think? Over the course of our otherwise completely placid, argument-free Austin trip, this is the one topic that broke us off into factions and got us really, really fired up. Without revealing my stance or reasoning, I just want to get a general sense of what you, internety people, think of these things. Please discuss.

i not-so-secretly love them. I am pretty sure I could squeeze into one of the largest youth sizes. my sources (teh internet) tells me they don't make them in adult sizes. crime, i tell you. I'd wear those bitches everywhere. additionally, i find them kind of obnoxious.
you can simultaeously love and hate them, i think.
My nephew has them and never wears them. I do tend to envy those kids strolling around with one roller down. Wheeling that second foot like they just don't care.
If I were a parent, I'd hate them, because when I see kids with them on, I'm always waiting for them to fall on their asses. However, if I was a kid I'd probably love them because they look fun. As a 25 year old, I don't really care one way or the other.
I'm desperately envious of today's children -- rollershoes would be so awesome.
I HATE THEM!!! I think they're obnoxious, dangerous, and parents are flat out silly for letting their children wear them. Nothing gets me angrier than when I'm in the mall or the airport and these little kids who probably only learned to walk a year ago, are sliding all over the place. And where are their parents?!?! No where in site! GRRRRRR! As an athletic trainer, I can envision 200 injuries happening in an instant of seeing those horrible things.
Hate them. I've had so many oblivious kids almost run into me wearing them. I just want to grab them and say "are you kids today really that lazy?! that you can't even WALK anymore?!?!.
And get off my lawn.
Becks, that is EXACTLY how I feel. So the spare moments your kids aren't parked in front of a video game, they can't even muster the energy to walk around the mall? Those stupid things are enstilling an even deeper sense of laziness, in my humble opinion. And the parents are never, ever watching them and making sure they don't, say, mow people over. I get that they're fun -- I would have definitely, definitely wanted some had they been available to me as a kid. But guh!
